Solare, mediterraneo, un po' egocentrico. Il carattere di Franchetti nella versione e nel millesimo in questione mostra una freschezza balsamica impressionante con note marcate di lavanda, giacinto, timo selvatico, eucalipto e menta piperita. Corpo medio-pieno, disteso ed armonico nel sorso mostra una notevole tensione ed una masticabilità di un vino tridimensionale unico nel suo genere. Un blend di Cesanese e Petit Verdot nella visione lungimirante di un pioniere del territorio.
