Grandioso, stupefacente. Il naso di Archineri nel millesimo 2010 e con 13 anni sulle spalle è a dir poco commovente. Sottile e di difficile lettura alterna note territoriali armoniche, speziate e profonde che colpiscono nel segno. Una sottile ciliegia disidrata non lascia mai la scena sensoriale ma cede in modo poco convinto spazio a buccia di mandarino, arancia sanguinella, chinotto, mandorle tostate, gerani bagnati, asfalto caldo, terra bagnata, cannella in polvere e chiodi di garofano. Cipria, talco, sandalo e canfora danzano insieme davanti un focolare caldo ma perfettamente contenuto nella matrice tecnicamente perfetta. Non c’è mai una tentazione di "aprirsi" con carattere guascone di natura ossidativa e non ha mai titubanze di chiusura riduttiva con timidezza o cupezza. Echi di "mediterraneità" sconvolgono, rapiscono e guidano il sorso nobile, perfettamente leggiadro, sapido, centrato e gustoso. Una poesia liquida di indubbia bellezza e di solida conferma. A Pietradolce era la seconda annata, l’Etna dicono possa essere una scommessa. Stasera vinta a mani basse e senza possibilità di rivali. Un record alla Pellegrini sui 200 metri stile libero nel mondiale del 2009. I tannini sono finissimi ma presenti, l’acidità labile ma ben integra e sorprendente, la persistenza, quella dei grandi campioni. Grandiose, astonishing. Archineri's nose in the 2010 vintage and with 13 years on its back is nothing short of moving. Subtle and difficult to read, it alternates harmonious, spicy and deep territorial notes that hit the mark. A subtle, dehydrated cherry never leaves the sensory stage but unconvincingly gives way to tangerine peel, blood orange, chinotto, toasted almonds, wet geraniums, hot asphalt, wet earth, cinnamon powder and cloves. Powder, talcum powder, sandalwood and camphor dance together in front of a warm but perfectly contained hearth in the technically perfect matrix. There is never a temptation to "open up" with a Gascon character of an oxidative nature and it never hesitates to close reductively with timidity or gloom. Echoes of 'Mediterranean-ness' shock, enrapture and guide the noble, perfectly graceful, savoury, centred and tasty sip. A liquid poetry of undoubted beauty and solid confirmation. At Pietradolce it was the second vintage, Etna they say can be a gamble. Tonight, won hands down and without a chance of rivalry. A Pellegrini record in the 200 metres freestyle in the 2009 world championship. The tannins are very fine but present, the acidity labile but well integrated and surprising, the persistence, that of the great champions.
